We were recently called to a factory in Shah Alam that was facing a serious issue with their DEA Gulliver AC Sliding Autogate System (SLDEA2000 industrial model). The sliding gate had completely stopped working for almost a week. When the system was activated, there was no response at all. No sound, no movement, and no indication that the motor was running.

Site Inspection and Preparation

Problem Found on Site

A faulty control board usually causes the system to become completely unresponsive, which explains why the gate had no sound or movement at all.

We replaced the control board and tested the system. At this stage, the motor started to produce sound, but the gate still could not move properly.

Second Fault Identified

After further testing, we found that the capacitor was also faulty. In a sliding autogate system, the capacitor plays an important role in providing the initial power boost needed to start the motor. When it becomes weak or damaged, the motor may still make sound but will not have enough power to move the gate.

This was exactly what happened in this case. Once the capacitor was replaced, the system started working normally again. The gate was able to open and close smoothly without any delay.

After replacing both the control board and capacitor, we carried out several rounds of testing to ensure the system was stable.

The DEA sliding autogate was fully restored within a short time. The gate operated smoothly, and the motor response was back to normal. The customer’s factory entrance was fully functional again without needing a full system replacement.
